For Those Traveling Alone to See John of God:
We offer two types of “consultation packages” for people who are experienced international travelers and prefer not to be part of a group. (We recommend groups because they are fun and offer many kinds of support, but we know some just prefer to be on their own and/or need to cut costs.)
Package #1 costs $350 US and does not include an on-site “guide”.
Package #2 does include an on-site guide.
Package #1 gives you:
• A thirty-six page booklet describing the way the Casa works and how you can honor the path to healing offered there
• Six pages we have written and keep up to date on what to bring and how to manage life in the village (vaccinations…phone, email, handling photos for other people who want John’s blessing, where to find the best ice cream…and acai smoothies)
• Phone/Email consultation prior to departure
• Reservations at an Inn that includes 3 excellent meals per day with fresh fruits, vegetables, and juices. Both vegetarians and meat-eaters are satisfied with the regime and the food at the Inn is considered the best in town! Private room with private bath… secure… clean… quiet…easy 7-minute walk to the Casa…garden setting. Management speaks English. Email free onsite. Wi-fi also available. Laundry service on site, too.
• Option , reservations at an Inn which is bed and breakfast only.
• Arrangements for a safe, bi-lingual driver to pick you up in Brasilia, take you to your Inn, and take you back to the airport at the end of your stay—including a tour of the sites of Brasilia, if you wish.
• A suggested budget to forecast your expenses
• Recommendations for managing your Passport and Visa needs
• Recommended Travel Insurance options
• Recommended Airline ticketing options (agencies and websites)
• Recommendations on your itinerary (some agencies do not give you enough time/ or give you too much time between flights)
• Guidance to assist you before meeting with John of God
• Guidance with Casa protocol and procedures
• Fee for this service is payable by check or credit card through paypal.
Package #2 gives you all of above
plus an On-Site Facilitator:
We help you connect up with someone in Abadiania, Brazil who is kind, dependable, and very knowledgeable about the Casa and John of God. He can answer your questions and help you get oriented to the village…and take you to the sacred waterfall. This person would also translate for you when you consult with John of God, and help you understand how to follow the suggested treatment guidelines. Each week you have six opportunities to have a face- to-face consultation with John of God. How you sort out when to see John of God and what other treatments you need to do is a vital ingredient in a successful stay at the Sanctuary of John of God. A facilitator is very helpful in this sorting out process.
Fee for this additional referral service depends on your length of stay and what your personal needs are.
Our Goal: to help you become confident about how to get along at the Casa without feeling overwhelmed ie knowing what you need to do next to accomplish your goals. (It takes most people about 2 weeks before they have some understanding about how things work at the Casa.)
